How Amica Marine collects, uses and protects personal information on this website and in survey work.

This Privacy Policy explains how Amica Marine (“Amica Marine”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit amicamarine.com (the “Website”), request a survey, or work with us as a client, agent, master, crew member, terminal representative or other party involved in a survey.
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation or similar laws apply, we process personal information to perform a contract with you or take steps at your request before entering into one; to comply with legal obligations; for our legitimate interests in operating a marine survey business, documenting survey findings and defending legal claims; and, where required, with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only as needed with: the party that instructed the survey and recipients it authorizes; port agents, terminals and launch operators to arrange access; laboratories receiving samples and their documentation; subcontracted surveyors and specialists bound by confidentiality; professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and insurers; service providers that host our Website and email; and authorities, courts or arbitral tribunals where required by law or legal process.
If you select a language other than English, the Website loads an automatic translation service provided by Google, which processes page content and technical information such as your IP address under Google’s own privacy terms. No translation service is loaded unless you choose another language.
We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Survey reports, working papers and related correspondence are kept for as long as claims may arise from the survey, having regard to applicable time limits for maritime, cargo and insurance claims, and in any case for at least the periods required by tax and accounting law. Records relevant to pending claims or proceedings are kept until they are resolved.

We are based in the United States, and our clients are located worldwide.
